We took this photo Monday when we knew the entire fleet would be parked on the ramp in front of our hangar. Count them. Three DC-3s and two Cessna Caravans. We’ve been attempting this photo op for weeks but there was always one airplane at work. Then, Monday it came together.
Florida Air Cargo is the largest commercial operator of cargo-carrying DC-3s. That alone is a good excuse for picture taking. The numbers of commercially flying DC-3s has diminished with time. Yet these three remain well suited for delivering air freight into Caribbean destinations, which is what we do.
